Modeled after the United States Navy Fighter Weapons School, more popularly known as Top Gun, this results-focused, metrics-oriented program is customized for your organization so that it aligns with its mission, vision, and values. By allowing the “best of the best” to participate in the program, this highly competitive selection process and development program, Top Gun will be the desired development plan resulting in employee recognition, as well as an organization’s overall promote from within succession strategy.
WHO WILL BE ALLOWED TO ATTEND
High Potential candidates selected to attend the Top Gun program are chosen from front-line business units. There is exclusivity designated upon those selected to participate, based upon strategic identification and impartial selection based upon the High Potential’s results on/off the job. Upon program commencement and successfully graduating, these High Potentials return to their respective organization locations to relay what they have learned to their peers and associates—in essence becoming instructors themselves.

As such, we are extremely proud to announce our affiliation with Winston “Mad Dog” Copeland, Rear Admiral, US Navy (Retired). The Rear Admiral concluded an impressive military career (Top Gun Instructor, Captain of the USS America CV66, and Commander of the USS Theodore Roosevelt CVN71 Battle Group) with an impressive civilian leadership run at Sun Microsystems. He now flies lead as Pathos Senior Guru on the Pathos Top Gun Leadership Program.

It goes without saying that at PATHOS, we aim to develop the best leaders, who make their best decisions, and achieve their best results… period! With that, there is a “chicken or egg” question that can be raised regarding leadership accountability and leadership responsibility… namely, which comes first? In our opinion, it’s wasted energy and effort! Know this: Participation in our program will not cause you to focus on the chicken, nor the egg… just the resulting omelet! Furthermore, know that we will be in contact with the client organization’s sponsoring senior leader to provide feedback/progress monitorization through a metrics oriented dashboard.
