PATHOS “Leader as Coach” Program

The goal of leadership has been defined as the “process of social influence in which one person can enlist the aid and support of others in the accomplishment of a common task.”  The PATHOS “Leader as Coach” program was designed to accomplish this goal by equipping business leaders with coaching techniques to effectively coach organization members to achieve results.

The PATHOS “Leader as Coach” program provides participants with access to pre-program assessments (a 360 Degree Assessment and Behavioral Assessment),  participation in a two (2) day workshop concluding with a detailed action plan, and post-program coaching with a PATHOS Senior Guru Coach for six (6) months.

Who Should Attend

Leaders from the C-Suite, Director, and/or Front-line who are responsible for generating results through the coordinated action of others.

This program works best when two (2) or more leaders from the same organization attend!

Outcomes

  • Learn the essentials of coaching by using PATHOS unique framework, along with new coaching skills that can be put to immediate use.
  • Participate in a combination of small group interaction and videotaped practice sessions (i.e., PATHOS Engagement Plays).
    • Our PATHOS Senior Guru Coaches work closely with small groups throughout the program — and a high instructor-to-participant ratio (1:4) — provides a focused and feedback-rich learning and development environment.
  • Build a results-focused talent development plan using a powerful peer coaching process that is overseen by PATHOS Senior Guru Coaches.
  • Learn more about yourself and those you lead through PATHOS Assessments (360 Degree and Behavioral Assessments). You will have an accurate understanding of what traits make you successful/unsuccessful, as well as how you’re currently perceived by members of your organization (Superior, peers, and subordinates).
  • After learning about yourself, develop a plan for working more effectively with key members within your organization.
  • Receive program follow-up coaching, individual as well as group.
    • Individual Coaching Sessions will be conducted by PATHOS Guru Coaches for two (2) forty-five (45) minutes sessions per month for a period of six (6) months.
    • The Leader/Participant will also have the opportunity to participate in a monthly group coaching session with fellow program participants for six (6) months after the workshop.
  • These concentrated group coaching sessions will review key program takeaways as well as seek perspective from participants “real world” implementation problems.

DAY 1

  • Introduction to PATHOS Executive Coaching
    • Influential Leader Review
    • A videotaped Initial Coaching Session (ICS) to a “real world” business leader issue
    • The PATHOS Coaching Model: Profile, Plan, and Pathos
  • Participant Assessment Review (360 Degree and Behavioral Assessments)
  • The PATHOS Coaching Success Strategy

DAY 2

  • The PATHOS Coaching Models
    • Performance Coaching
    • Commitment Coaching
    • Change Coaching
    • Execution Coaching
    • Conflict Coaching
  • A videotaped Second Coaching Session (SCS) with a group created “real world” business leader issue
    • This session will include feedback from session peers and one-on-one (1:1) PATHOS Guru Coach.
  • A videotaped Mastery Coaching Session (MCS) with a group created “real world” business leader issue
    • This session will again include feedback from session peers and one-on-one (1:1) PATHOS Guru Coach.

Leadership Coaching

The PATHOS “Leader as Coach” program is designed for the leader who is looking to propel themselves, their people, and organization to new levels.  The “Leader as Coach” program is designed to capitalize on assessment (360 Degree and Behavioral Assessment), feedback, and goal setting.

Support/Expertise

PATHOS Guru Coaches are the best-of-the-best in their field as recognized by International Coach Federation (ICF) certification (In our view, anyone can throw out their “entrepreneurial shingle” and call themselves a coach!  Weekend workshops leading to certification do not equate to professionalism, nor competency in coaching.  As such, we require PATHOS Guru Coaches to be at the peak of the coaching industry.  We are here to support program participants in accomplishing the results desired.)

Accountability/Responsibility

It goes without saying that at PATHOS, we aim to develop the best leaders, who make their best decisions, and achieve their best results… period!  With that, there is a “chicken or egg” question which can be raised regarding leadership accountability and leadership responsibility… namely, which comes first?  In our opinion, it’s wasted energy and effort!  Know this: Participation in our program will not cause you to focus on the chicken, nor the egg… just the resulting omelet!  Furthermore, know that we will be in contact with the client organization’s sponsoring senior leader to provide feedback/progress monitorization.

Program Inclusions

Included in the program fee is reserved program seating (Including program highlights noted above), all program materials (Participant Guide and Video taped Sessions DVD of ICS, SCS, and MCS), and follow-up coaching (one-on-one individual coaching as well as group coaching).
