Organization Development (OD) is a planned, organization-wide effort to increase organizational effectiveness/viability in solving problems and reaching goals.  Sam Palazzolo, Pathos CEO, has referred to OD as an organization’s ability to not only recognize change moments, but respond to that change with action.  Organization Development is a results-oriented strategy intended to change the beliefs, attitudes, values, and structure of an organization so that they can better adapt to new challenges posed in business (i.e., Human Resources, Operations, Finance/Accounting, Technology, and Marketing/Sales).  The term “Organization Development” is often used interchangeably with Organizational Development, as well as Organizational Effectiveness.
